CORE VALUES

We value the Bible as the divinely inspired Word of God. It is infallible, inerrant and complete, revealing God and His will. Assuch, it is the sole written authority by which a believer orders his life.
3:16-17; Hebrews 4:12  II Timothy

We value that each believer is uniquely indwelled and led by the Holy Spirit, assured of God’s approval in Christ. The Holy Spirit, in accord with the Word of God, glorifies Christ, convicts of sin, affects the new birth, guides in life, empowers for service and enables perseverance in faith and holiness.
John 16:7-14; Galatians 5:25; Philippians 3:3

We value that salvation is a free gift by grace through faith in Jesus Christ that is bestowed by God on all who believe in His Name.
John 3:16; Acts 4:12; Ephesians 2:8-10

We value the church as the body of Christ on earth, comprised of individual believers, each led by the Spirit of God. They recognize the Lordship of Christ, that He is the head of the body and has preeminence over all things. Though diversity exists among them, they are unified through Christ, their head.
John 1:12; I Corinthians 12; Ephesians 1:21-23; Colossians 1:16-19

We value that baptism is an outward visible expression of the inward change of heart. Those who believe and repent are to be baptized with water, signifying the remission of sins and the new birth. This new life will be manifested by commitment to Christ, baptism of the Holy Spirit and separation from evil.
Acts 2:38; Acts 10:44-48; I Peter 3:21

We value the assembling of baptized believers, in communion with Christ and one another, through the sharing of the bread and the cup, which are emblematic of His broken body and shed blood.
I Corinthians 10:16-17; I Corinthians 11:23-28

We value that Jesus gave the example and taught that we ought to wash one another’s feet, emphasizing humility and acts of service.
John 13:2-17

We value the biblical teaching in that there are two kingdoms: one of this world and the other of God. Christians should not take part in any destruction of human life, nor in any act of personal vengeance. Instead, they should demonstrate the love of Christ in their daily walk.
Matthew 5:39-46; John 18:36; Romans 12:19-21

We value that God’s order of headship has established unique roles of authority for man and woman.
I Corinthians 11:1-16; Ephesians 5:21-33; Colossians 3:18-19

We value that marriage is instituted by God, and is between one man and one woman, for life.
Matthew 5:31-32; Mark 10:6-9; I Corinthians 7:10-11: Romans 7:2-3

We value that the personal appearance and lifestyle of Christian men and women should be modest, maintaining godliness in all areas of life.
I John 2:15-17; I Peter 3:3-4; Romans 12:1-2

We value that Spirit-directed, servant leadership will manifest the care and compassion of the Good Shepherd, not lording over God’s heritage.
John 10:11-15; Acts 20:19-20; I Timothy 4:12; II Timothy 3:10-11; I Peter 5:2-5

We value the Biblical teaching that believers are to resolve their conflicts according to Matthew 18:15-18. Those found in any wrongdoing should be restored with a gentle spirit, desiring to carry one another’s burdens. When a brother or a sister becomes convicted of sin in their life, repentance and confession indicates the work of God in their heart.
Galatians 6:1-2; Matthew 18:15-18

We value that believers are to submit to God’s truth. They are to be submissive to each other “as it is fit in the Lord” (Colossians 3:18b). True submission is allowing the Lord to have preeminence over all areas of our lives.
Ephesians 5:21; Philippians 2:5-8; James 4:7

We value that believers are encouraged to study the scriptures, not only personally, but also in family settings, group studies and instructional meetings on biblical principles.
Acts 17:11; Colossians 3:16; II Timothy 3:15; Titus 2:3-5

We value that Christ commissioned believers to be actively involved in sharing the gospel with our fellow man, teaching them to follow Him in the biblical walk of life and ministering to the needs of all people.
Mark 16:15; Matthew 28:19-20; I John 3:17; Galatians 6:10
